Another San Diego trip. Gotta love it!

Steven aka Mr. “I’m frikin awesome” from Splendid Studios invited me out as his second shooter for Aaron and Juliet’s wedding.  We shot at the gorgeous L’Auberge Del Mar on a belated June gloom day in July. Luckily, the weather opened up, the clouds parted, “God rays” shot down from the skies, the seas calmed (ok not really) and everything went off without a hitch.

I’m beginning to think that the San Diego area has an affinity for me. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting weddings down there in the past and this last wedding was just as enjoyable.  A lovely young bride, charming groom and a bunch of fellow shutter bugs sealed the deal to make this wedding smooth as silk. You guys were a blast to shoot! All the best.

I like to think that I come prepared for weddings, but when the groomsmen start to talk to you about your gear, you know you’ve got at least a third shooter waiting to pull out their camera. Time to bust out the cameras guys and show them how it’s done. Like how one of them’s compensating for the iPad’s lack of a camera?

Hopefully, I’ll be fortunate enough to shoot another lovely couple at another gorgeous location down in the San Diego area soon. Until then, stay tuned for my next wedding in the Los Angeles area in about a month!
