August 29th, 2010Audrey’s Red Egg and Ginger Party
August 21st, 2010
In the Chinese culture, it is customary for parents to celebrate their newborn’s one month birthday at a Red Egg and Ginger Party. I had the fortune of attending my very first party for my niece and it was pretty neat. Lots of friends and family came to visit with traditional red envelopes. There was tons of “oooohs” and “awwww”s coming from everyone as Audrey lay asleep throughout the majority of the day, but the pics that came out are too adorable.
Coincidentally, today also happens to be the day when Audrey’s umbilical chord fell off, which means it’s time to don her water melon swim suite and hit the pool! Here’re some of my favs from the party and her spending her very first dip in the pool with dad.
Thanks baby girl for the cute pics and looking forward to the baptism!
Maya & Rory | Art District & Union Station | Los Angeles, CA
August 7th, 2010
The Art District of Los Angeles is a very trendy and unique place that oozes LA culture to the nth degree. The graffiti art, grungy urban architecture and hip eateries in this area make for a perfect afternoon meet up spot for popular LA blogger, Maya from ShopEatSleep.com, and her videographer fiancé Rory for their engagement session. We started out at the Art District to get some shots of the ever changing art scenery. This place changes so much that you could come here after a couple months and buildings would look completely different. After wards, we headed over to Union Station to wrap up the day. Here are some of my favs from the day. Looking forward to shooting your wedding next April you two!

August 1st, 2010I’m fortunate enough to have an LA blogger celebutante as one of my clients for next year. Maya from ShopEatSleep.com and her fiance Rory wanted an LA vibe for their engagement session. What better place to get that than the Art District and Union Station? Here’s a sneak.
